Then & Now

Then: March 20, 2009
Now: 3.5 Months home!

I was looking through some old photos today because snapfish.com is having a great sale on prints: 50 prints for 50 pennies - who can beat that? I found some pictures that my friend Lisa and Andrew took on Tatiana's first dinner out of the baby home in Artem. Holy tiny baby, Batman! She looks so little! The top picture above is from their set. It also gives a GREAT view of the wonderful hair-cutting skills in Artem and you'll see what we been cleaning up!

In some ways I can't believe we've already been home for 3.5 months. Being in Vladivostok seems like yesterday to me at some moments and at other times she feels like she's been here forever. Doesn't she look different?

Hey Amy!

Saw ur post on our blog. Ugh, yes I hear that from parents, but the wait, the wait, it feels soooooo long. T is adorable! We have read through the blog. It so helps to have people who share their journey's.
We are in a baby home 30 minutes north of Artem. I remember passing the area where the Artem baby home is.
I think I have his photos every where in the house and we made a dvd I have been watching like crazy, which probably doesn't help. You both have been so busy since you came back. I have a feeling that is how it will be when we get him home too.

Love ur kitties. Should put some of mine up on my blog!

You are right. So many ppl have a difficult time relating to the process. I just love meeting people who have gone the same route. It helps so much!

Wow, what a difference. The hair is definitely a big change.... it's coming in so nicely too.

Congrats on being over the worst part of the transition hump. You seem to have weathered it well, but I always say the first three months seem like groundhogs day.... you know the movie where he relived the same day over and over again! :)

Hi Amy!

We've been busy and only been using the 30 minutes free wi-fi at McDonald's so haven't been checking others blogs.
She looks like a different girl. That's so encouraging to see those leaps and successes and just personal changes overall. Glad to hear things are going well.
You've all gone through so many transitions.
I'll try to check in more often as the apartment supposedly has free wi-fi. Yea!
